Collette B.

Hygienist-Mesa/ Queen Creek

Meet Collette, a dedicated member of our team since the fall of 2015. With almost 30 years of experience as a dental hygienist, Collette is originally from Salt Lake City. She finds immense fulfillment in her role because it allows her to help people achieve better health, a passion she intends to pursue until she's 80.

Collette cherishes her time at EVP due to the kindness and expertise of her colleagues, and the close bonds formed with patients who often become friends.

Outside of her professional life, Collette leads an active and diverse lifestyle. She enjoys hiking, camping, volunteering her dental skills in third-world countries, learning Spanish, staying fit through exercise, exploring alternative health options for chronic diseases, and mastering the piano.

Family is at the heart of Collette's life. She is a proud mother of seven children, five daughters and one son and a doting grandmother to 30 grandchildren. Collette is passionate about advocating for women's birth choices and holds certification as a doula.

Fun Fact: Collette is left-handed, adding to her unique and multifaceted personality.

Amy S. Amy S.

Hygienist-Mesa/ Queen Creek

Meet Amy, a Chandler native deeply rooted in Arizona, where she has been practicing dentistry for 6 years. Amy's journey in dentistry has been multifaceted. She has worked clinically and also served as an educator in the dental hygiene program at Mesa Community College. Her greatest passion in dentistry lies in educating patients about the vital connection between dental health and overall well-being. Amy is dedicated to fostering relationships that ensure a comfortable and seamless patient experience with her gentle approach.

As a dental hygienist with EVP, Amy thrives in the positive atmosphere among her fellow dental professionals. When she's not chairside, Amy enjoys spending time with her husband exploring the great outdoors, whether it's trailer camping, hiking in the Superstition Mountains, fishing lakeside, or spending quality time at the dog park with her border collie, Ace. She's also a dedicated fan of Arizona sports teams.

Amy's love for animals, commitment to family time, and passion for community service are central to her life outside of work. A fun fact about Amy: She is musically inclined, proficient in playing the piano and currently mastering the acoustic guitar through lessons.

Lakyn D.

Hygienist-Mesa/ Queen Creek

Meet Lakyn, born and raised in Arizona, she brings over six years of experience in the dental field, including 2.5 years as a hygienist and four years as a dental assistant. Her favorite part of dentistry is building meaningful relationships with patients, educating them about their oral health, and empowering them to feel confident in their smiles.

At EVP, Lakyn is inspired by the opportunity to provide hygiene care at a higher clinical level. She values the ability to collaborate with the team to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered periodontal care that truly makes a difference in people’s lives.

Outside of the office, Lakyn enjoys traveling, staying active, getting outdoors, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. She is passionate about giving back to the community through food organizations, volunteer work, and participating in events with her church.

Fun fact: Lakyn was involved in 4-H for nine years as a child and still enjoys supporting local youth by participating in various 4-H events.

Her dedication to service, education, and compassionate care makes her a valued member of the EVP team.

Katie S.

Hygienist-Mesa/ Queen Creek

Meet Katie, a Registered Dental Hygienist at East Valley Periodontics. Originally from San Diego, California, she moved to Arizona in 2009 and relocated to the Valley in 2013 after graduating from Northern Arizona University. Dentistry runs in her family both of her parents are dentists and Katie has proudly been a practicing RDH since 2013. Her favorite part of dentistry is creating beautiful smiles and building lasting relationships with patients.

At EVP, Katie values the team’s strong commitment to excellence and the supportive, family-like environment that makes each day meaningful. After practicing for nine years, Katie spent the last four years as a dental educator, helping shape the next generation of hygienists. Now, she’s excited to return to clinical care and work hand-in-hand with patients once again.

In her free time, Katie enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending quality time with her husband and their two children.

Fun fact: Katie completed dental externships in both India and Hawaii where she even swam with sharks and stingrays in Bora Bora adding to her adventurous spirit and global perspective.
